Mark Brittain is a bit hypocritical. In his CAT class discussion about Abortions, as you know, he claimed that abortions would are sin, and that you are basically dancing on jesus' grave if you were to get one. He claimed that a child was a contract that could never be broken. Yet, when he impregnated Jody, Jody got an abortion, and he knew full well about that abortion, and the child. This makes Mark a weak character. He is unable to face the truth, or he denies that the truth ever even happened.
It's hard to tell, but there's a chance that Mark's character will change for the better. You see, usually with a enemy character their personality either changes for the better - or they suffer because it doesn't. And. judging by this book's central themes, Mark is probably going to suffer. My group agreed with me on this.
