Final Blog Post
Eric Calhoune can be described in a few words, thoughtful, kind, empathic, and altruistic. It makes Eric strong. Eric is strong because he always puts others first. He literally had a knife in his shoulder for Sarah Byrnes. That's a big act for someone who is just a friend. Eric did change from the beginning of the book because at the beginning he was shy, scared and he didn't know how to stick up for himself, he was a pushover. Now, he's strong and even stood up to a big tough man (Virgil Byrnes). I think Eric Calhoune did this because he wanted to be big and tough like Sarah Byrnes. Now, he accomplished much more.
I didn't love the book, but I didn't hate it either. It was okay for me. The ending was awful, it just cut off, though it wasn't supposed to be a cliff hanger. The end for me was a "and then we went home" ending, in other words it was terrible. There was absolutely no dialogue, it just kind of wrapped it up, and it was still bad. My favorite part was when Mr. Byrnes was chasing Eric Calhoune around town and Eric ended up getting stabbed. My least favorite part was when Sarah wasn't talking to anyone. It was boring and not that interesting. It was literally pages and pages of blah. Overall, the book way okay like 3/5 stars.
