I would tell her to just break the truth out. About her father going to jail. Maybe her mom would come back and get her. There are many possibilities of that happening. I would tell her to talk to Eric. I know if she did she wouldn't stress as much as she is. It would really calm her down.
I would also tell her it is safe to talk to Eric because he is very humble. He would do anything for her. He would even talk to Dale. I feel like Eric would do something about Sarah's dad. Eric goes and sees Sarah every day after school. That should just prove to Sarah that he cares about her.
I would tell her to maybe talk to someone else like Eric instead of her dad. If her dad gets mad she will just have to deal with it. He probably wouldn't even figure out. If she doesn't talk to someone else her dad will just abuse her again. She isn't being very smart. I would just tell her to talk to someone.
