The Conflict

       So far the main characters are struggling with society in this book (man v.s society). They're struggling with how they look compared to everyone else. Everyone makes fun of Eric because he thinks he's fat and Sarah Byrnes thinks she's ugly because of her scars on her face. In some places there is man v.s man, but only when Eric puts himself down because he's fat.
       Events that have complicated the conflict farther are when Sarah Byrnes let Dale punch her in the face. Dale thought he could walk all over both of them. No, don't think that the problem will be solved with more harm.  Sarah Byrnes will most likely cause the harm. Eric may or may not learn to stand up for himself, I don't know. I do not think there will be a happy ending.
